FAQ

I don't hear any sound. Turn on Tagak in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Input Monitoring. Sound starts within a few seconds. If the keycap icon in the menu bar is only an outline, sound is off — open the menu and turn the switch on.

There's no sound when I type a password. That's expected. macOS doesn't report keystrokes to any app in secure fields such as password fields.

Where does the sound go when I plug in headphones? Tagak follows your Mac's sound output. Switch to headphones or AirPods and the sound goes there.

Can Tagak start when my Mac starts? Turn on "Open at Login" in the menu.

Where does what I type go? Nowhere. Tagak only knows the moment a key is pressed — never which character. It doesn't use the internet and doesn't store anything.

Can I use it on another Mac? Sign in with the same Apple Account and download it again from the Mac App Store (Account › Purchased).

I'd like a refund. Payments and refunds are handled by Apple. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Does a purchase in the Keymeow iPhone app unlock Tagak? No. Tagak is a separate Mac app.
