1. Overview
tripvenir (the "Service") is a map app that fills the places you have been, in their real administrative outlines, with your travel photos, together with an optional public profile at tripvenir.com/your-handle. It is operated by GO2GYM STUDIO (the "Company").
Our core principle: your travel photos and records stay on your device. Data leaves your device only when you use a feature that needs a server — Publish, Cloud backup or a purchase — and only what that feature needs. Separately, the app sends anonymous usage statistics and error reports to fix bugs and improve the Service (2.6); you can turn them off in Settings. Rewarded ads are requested only when you choose to watch one (2.7).
2. What we process
2.1. Kept only on your device
Photo copies and thumbnails made by the app, visit dates, notes, cover photos and framing, tone and language settings stay on your device. When you add a photo, the app makes a copy without location or other metadata (EXIF); your original photo is not changed.
2.2. When you publish your profile
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Handle, name, bio | Showing your public profile |
| A profile photo, if you choose one (cut to a 400px square, no location data) | Showing your public profile |
| Copies of the photos of the regions you chose (long side 1,600px, no location data), region names and framing | Showing your public profile |
| The visit date you picked for each photo and the short note you wrote, each only if you turn it on | Showing your public profile |
| An ownership value made on your device (stored only as a hash) | Proving the handle is yours and preventing edits by others |
Anyone with the link can see a public profile. Profiles are kept out of search engines.
2.3. When you use Cloud backup
Your e-mail address and sign-in records (for one-time-code sign-in), and the photos and records you back up (to restore them on another device).
2.4. When you buy
Purchase details passed on by the App Store or Google Play (product, purchase and expiry times, an anonymous customer identifier) to check your entitlement. We never receive card or other payment details.
2.5. Reports and website visits
- Reporting a profile: the reported handle, the reason and details, the page address and the country of the connection.
- Website visits: access logs (IP address, browser, time) processed by our hosting provider for security and operation.
2.6. Usage statistics and error reports (collected automatically)
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Feature use (names and times of events such as opening the app, finishing the introduction, adding a photo, sharing, opening the purchase screen, buying, publishing a profile) | Usage statistics, improving the Service |
| Error details (error message and where it happened, device model, OS and app version, app language) | Finding and fixing errors |
| An anonymous identifier created at random when the app is installed | Counting one device's events together |
- Photos, place names, notes, dates, handles and e-mail addresses are never sent, and the analytics tools do not store your IP address. We do not use this data to identify you or for advertising.
- Turn it off in Settings → Send usage stats & error reports; sending stops at once and every feature keeps working.
- tripvenir.com counts visits only, with cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics.
2.7. Optional rewarded ads
When saving or sharing the Stamp album, Travel receipt or Year in review design, people without a Lifetime Pass can choose to watch a Google AdMob rewarded ad. Completing one ad enables the selected design for the current work, including retries of the same save or share. Previews and basic designs do not require ads; Lifetime Pass holders skip ads.
- Choosing an ad or Ad privacy choices opens Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP), which offers privacy choices in applicable regions. The advertising SDK starts only after UMP permits ad requests.
- The SDK may process IP-based approximate location, device and app identifiers, device, OS and app information, ad requests, impressions, viewing and interactions, and crash and performance information. These support ad delivery, frequency management, measurement, fraud prevention and reliability.
- The app requests only non-personalized ads. We do not send photos, visited places, notes, public profiles or purchase records to the ad SDK. We do not request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) authorization or permission to access IDFA, and disable Google's publisher first-party identifier feature.
- In applicable regions, change choices in Settings → Ad privacy choices. To avoid ad requests, do not choose to watch an ad. Basic designs and on-device maps and albums keep working; the three designs are also available through a Lifetime Pass.
- Google's processing and retention follow its Privacy Policy and advertising information. We do not separately copy the SDK's raw device or advertising logs. Earned access stays on device.
2.7-2. What we do not collect
We do not collect phone numbers, addresses, precise location or contacts, or sell personal data. We do not recognise or analyse faces in photos. tripvenir.com does not use the ad SDK.
2.8. Required or optional
Everything sent to a server is optional: apart from 2.6, it is processed only when you use the feature. For Publish, a handle, name and the chosen photos are required; bio, dates and notes are optional.
Usage statistics and error reports are on by default and can be turned off (2.6).
2.9. Cookies and automated decisions
The app uses optional rewarded advertising as described in 2.7; analytics tools are used only for the anonymous statistics and error reports in 2.6. tripvenir.com uses cookieless visit counts and does not use the advertising SDK. We make no fully automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
3. Retention
| Data | Kept |
|---|---|
| Public profile and photo copies | Deleted as soon as you take the profile down |
| Cloud account and backups | Deleted without delay when you delete the account |
| Reports | One year after they are handled |
| Purchase records | 5 years; consumer complaints 3 years (Korean E-Commerce Act) |
| Access logs | 3 months (Protection of Communications Secrets Act), or less if the host keeps them shorter |
| Support e-mails | One year after the request is closed |
| Error reports | 30 days after collection |
| App usage statistics | One year after collection |
4. Processors and international transfers
| Processor | Service | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare, Inc. | Hosting tripvenir.com; storing public profiles, photos and reports; cookieless visit counts | Data centres worldwide, including the United States |
| Supabase, Inc. | Cloud backup accounts, files and sign-in | Republic of Korea (Seoul region, Amazon Web Services) |
| RevenueCat, Inc. | Verifying store purchases | United States |
| Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) | Storing and analysing app error reports | Germany (EU data region) |
| PostHog Inc. | App usage statistics | Germany (EU Cloud) |
| Google LLC (policies.google.com/privacy) | Optional rewarded advertising and consent management, measurement and fraud prevention | Google data centres, including the United States |
| Apple Inc., Google LLC | App distribution and payments | Under each store's policy |
If you do not want your data transferred abroad, do not use Publish, reports or purchases; every on-device map feature keeps working. Usage statistics and error reports stop when you turn them off in Settings. Consent information is sent when you select an ad or ad privacy choices; advertising information is sent after the consent flow permits requests. Data travels over encrypted connections. Google advertising data follows the processing and retention information linked in 2.7. Declining ads keeps basic designs, maps and albums available.
5. Your rights
Take your profile down in Settings → Public profile → Take down, delete your cloud account in the app, or write to us to access, correct, delete or restrict your data. We answer within 10 days. You can also export your photos and records at any time with the app's backup (ZIP).
6. Security
If personal data is lost, leaked, altered or damaged, or may have been, we notify you and the authorities without delay. All traffic is encrypted with TLS; published photos are re-made without location data; ownership values are stored only as hashes; cloud backups are isolated per account.
7. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 14, who should not use the public profile or Cloud backup or rewarded advertising. We delete a child's public profile as soon as we learn of it.
